Synopsis

Two teenage boys from very different London backgrounds embark on a road trip North together. Nathan is running away from his foster home in search of his sister who he thinks lives in Scotland, while Sam is heading to the North-East of England to see his mum. After a chance encounter, Sam agrees to give Nathan a ride North in his mum’s car, and as their impromptu adventure together takes an unexpected turn, the boys begin to open up and learn they have far more in common than they first thought.

Synopsis

Filmmaker Sean McAllister return to his hometown of Hull as creative director of the opening ceremony of the City of Culture celebrations, where he reflects on the changes to a city hit by cuts in public spending and divided by Brexit. A redemption thriller following underworld criminal Marley, as he struggles to overcome his feelings of grief and guilt after killing a young mother.
Marley is asked to identify the body of his estranged junkie mother. Later, in a fragile emotional state, he encounters a Romanian woman called Ana and her 9 year old daughter Cristina. During a confrontation over an unpaid debt he accidentally kills Ana. Marley goes to jail for manslaughter but soon realises that Ana has returned as a manifestation of his guilt. Eventually they forge an uneasy truce on the understanding that he will take care of Cristina upon his release.
By the time Marley is released, Cristina is a teenager. Determined to set things right, he goes on a mission to find her. Synopsis

The story of three men who have spent longer in solitary confinement than any other prisoners in the US because of the murder of a prison guard in 1972 at Angola, the Louisiana state penitentiary. Robert King, Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox were convicted by bribed and blind eye witnesses and with no physical evidence. Targeted as members of the Black Panther party the film follows their struggle against the miscarriage of justice and their cruel and unusual treatment. Known as the 'Angola 3', their story culminated in 2016 with the release of Albert Woodfox after 43 years in solitary confinement.

Synopsis

Set in 1903, TRACKER is a manhunt drama in which Arjan (Ray Winstone), a guerrilla survivor of the South African Boer War, lands in colonial New Zealand and is promised a bounty to capture Kereama (Temuera Morrison), a Maori seafarer accused of killing a soldier.
