Synopsis

When a drug mule becomes sick in transit one of the men tasked with her collection is left shaken. The man in question, 'Ozzy' soon discovers the girl is to be sold on to people traffickers. Ozzy confronts his cohorts and a violent altercation ensues. The unlikely duo are then forced to flee a hostile city on a pursuit which takes them deeper into a London most will never see.

Synopsis

Our generational story begins in 1969, with our protagonist Caleb, in the heyday of his early 30's throwing a 'Blues' (a house party). We immerse our viewer into a world that was vibrant, in every sense of the word, paying homage to the exciting era of when Britain was introduced to something that changed it forever. In our story the night unfolds and we are introduced to our antagonist Sean, whose curious nature leads him into prohibited spaces. The plot thickens as we continue our story into 2016 with Caleb, now a grandfather, navigating his way through his sound system legacy and guiding his 21 year old grandson, Trojan. Memories of Sean and an illness Caleb bats away lurk underneath his routine catch up with his grandson. With the aim to shoot a feature film that encapsulates the communal aspect of the Sound System Culture in today’s society, we made this short to tease the viewer into our world. Synopsis

1657. Fanny and John Lye and their young son Arthur live lives of Puritan stricture on a remote Shropshire farm in a valley beside a forest. Once a Captain in the English Civil War, now a firm believer in Oliver Cromwell’s republic, John suffers a game leg and therefore it is Fanny who must carry out most duties around the farm, taken for granted by both husband and son. One morning, when the family are out at church, two uninvited visitors take refuge in their barn: the charismatic Thomas Ashbury and his young ‘wife’ Rebecca Henshaw, who come running from the forest naked as Adam and Eve. Thomas tells a story of robbery by vicious highwaymen. Although suspicious, John offers clothes and shelter for the night - which satisfies Fanny’s compassionate nature. Whilst the young couple are polite, almost obsequious at first, soon Thomas’ carefree manner can’t help but reveal itself: he makes seductive eyes at Fanny and then draws Arthur into a food fight, for which - despite Thomas’ protestations - the house patriarch disciplines both wife and child. The next day, as Thomas and John coppice wood, Rebecca accidentally reveals to Fanny that she and Thomas are unmarried. Soon after, three more strangers approach the farm: a Sheriff and his Deputy, accompanied by the local Constable, hunting members of a blasphemous ‘Ranter’ sect. From here, events quickly escalate in ways that will change all their lives forever.
