Synopsis

Eddie is a reckless and emotional unstable man. His brother Casey has been killed in vain because he got caught up in a mafia conspiracy set up by Darren Reynolds who wants control over the largest criminal organisation ran by Mr Camello who controls all the narcotics imports across the country. Eddie blames himself for his death and is quick to turn to an angry rage and wants to seek revenge for the death of his brother. Although plans have already been set in motion for Eddie, he's fallen deeper into the criminal underworld than he realizes.

Synopsis

Orphaned Polish girl Ania works in a restaurant while her sister Celina busks the streets of Edinburgh. When a guy called Lem turns up and offers Celina a job in the Highlands she jumps at the chance. Ania doesn’t want Celina to go and they fall out. Celina travels up to the Highlands, where she disappears.

Ania travels to the remote peninsula of Innisaig to look for Celina, last seen working in the local fish factory.

Lem lets her stay in his caravan while she works in the factory and waits for her sister to return from a supposed trip to Stornoway.

Ania has an emergency operation performed by the factory’s Dr Balm. While recovering Ania finds Celina’s guitar under Lem’s caravan. Celina would never leave her precious guitar behind so Ania knows that something is really wrong and investigates further…

Brixton has degenerated into a disregarded area inhabited by London's new robot workforce - robots built and designed to carry out all of the tasks which humans are no longer inclined to do. The mechanical population of Brixton has rocketed, resulting in unplanned, cheap and quick additions to the skyline.

The film follows the trials and tribulations of young robots surviving at the sharp end of inner city life, living the predictable existence of a populous hemmed in by poverty, disillusionment and mass unemployment. When the Police invade the one space which the robots can call their own, the fierce and strained relationship between the two sides explodes into an outbreak of violence echoing that of 1981.

The film is a semi-biographical story based on the experiences of former prison guard Ronnie Thompson who spent seven years working in some of the UK's most dangerous prisons. Based on Thompson's book of the same name, the project stars James D'Arcy (Master & Commander), Noel Clarke (Kidulthood), Frank Harper (The Football Factory), Jamie Foreman (Layer Cake), Andrew Shim (This Is England) and Kate Magowan (Stardust). The story revolves around former soldier Sam Norwood who takes a job as a prison officer when he returns from Iraq and becomes exposed to the underworld of prison culture - including corrupt guards and drug trafficking.
