Synopsis

Laura and Ryan are perfect for each other: they both love Meryl Streep, have been totally destroyed by previous relationships, and they have no idea what they are supposed to do tonight. They also both know that they’ll have to pretend to be completely different to how they’ve ever been previously, in the hope of getting it right this time.
How bad can a second date really go and what is there to lose? Ryan and Laura are about to find out…

Synopsis

Ales is a lonely thirty-something misfit who spends her days drinking, signing on at the job centre and watching TV. This routine is interrupted when she witnesses a student called Jenny being attacked by a gang of youths. The scene stirs up painful childhood memories of her abusive father and Alex chooses not to intervene. When she discovers that Jenny has been left in a coma as a result of the attack, Alex is plagued by guilt. Drinking heavily and growing increasingly angry that youths have not been caught, Alex decides that she will try to find them herself. Her initial attempts to find the gang do not go well, but upon hearing that Jenny is set to make a full recovery, she doubles her efforts. Writing everything down in her diary, she embarks on a rigorous training regime, fashions her own homemade body armour and turns herself into the masked vigilante, ‘Nobody Girl’.

No jobs offered, they join a gang of criminals and start to con people. Things get out of hand when they are not able to finish a swindling task and they decide to quit the world of crime, but not before they pay off the gangs what they owed. They resort to more crime to pay off their debt and get dangerously involved with two international gangs operating in London. With the gangs on one hand and the Scotland Yard on the other, the gang of four team up to a solid plan that can settle all things. Things turnaround when this petty gang turn into vigilantes and help the police nail the dangerous gangs in the end bringing about the intrinsic theme of the movie that Crime never pays.

Four boys roam free through a neglected rural paradise in rural Wales during a long hot summer in the 1970s, untroubled by the adult world until tragedy strikes. Two of the boys are orphaned as their father murders their mother and, in turn, kills himself. The boys’ lives are shattered. The story has moments of life and death, birth and burial and as such has much in common with the Tibetan book of the dead and the concept of the wheel of life.

Synopsis

Preston is an indecisive film school lecturer who dreams of being a great film director like the European directors whose work he teaches - Bergman, Fellini, Truffaut, Antonioni, Godard and Buñuel. One day his wife leaves him, telling him that she believes he will never be anything more than a teacher.
Depressed, Preston is visited by the ghost of Ingmar Bergman who tells him to use his misery as the material for a great film just as he did in his 'Scenes from a Marriage'. Taking Bergman’s advice, Preston decides to make a film, in an attempt to prove his wife wrong and in the hope of winning her back.
Using the facilties of the school and the students as his crew, Preston shoots his film but soon finds that he is visited by the ghosts of series of famous, dead European directors who offer him advice on how to improve his film. Following their wise but disparate counsel his film goes wildly out of control and becomes a huge, sprawling, incoherent mess.
This comic fable about the creative process is a hymn to European filmaking - an 'Eight & a Half' meets 'Play It Again, Sam' for modern times.
