In a city framed by capital and loss, ten unruly Londoners navigate their wild and wayward way, travelling on their own terms towards a co-existence far stronger than 'community'. They question who has stolen what from whom, and how things might be fixed, in an often contradictory rite of passage. Finding solidarity in resistance, they demand the right to go on.

He also killed 400 people, turned against Washington and moved to the Nevada desert where he now sleeps with many weapons. Filmed over ten years using impressive visual material, Zimmerman’s portrait of Bo embodies contemporary American society in all its dizzying complexity and contradictions.

Synopsis

Takafa is a documentary essay, a film about memory and the most necessary forms of belonging, through a search for the role played in the city by Istanbul´s street dogs and their relationship to its human populations. Despite several major attempts by Istanbul´s rulers, politicians and planners over the last 400 years to exterminate them, the city´s street dogs have persisted thanks to an enduring alliance with widespread civilian communities, which recognize and defend their right to co-exist. Takafa is structured around readings by internationally acclaimed storyteller, essayist, and critic John Berger. The film opens a window on the contested relationships between power and the public, community and categorisation (in location and identity), and the ongoing struggle / resistance against a single way of seeing and being.

The Ramp shows Jeff's struggle to get a ramp fitted at the entrance to his council flat, so he can leave his home with the help of a wheelchair. The money all in place, the ramp delayed for a year due to bureaucratic stumbling blocks about permissions not granted to extend a ramp into a parking space of the estate where Jeff's flat is located.

A once independent and vivacious man is reduced to confinement in his home for over 6 months while the authorities argue about his status, until he dies. Made as a 5 minute short for 'reelhealthstories', to be shown to medical students about the actual impact of their recommendations, and the human cost of agencies working cross side each other.
