Synopsis

Ghost Town is a single player VR puzzle-adventure set in 1980s Britian from the makers of The Room. Life has been going well for Edith. The paranormal detective agency she runs with her flatmate has never been busier, she’s almost up-to-date with her rent and the ghosts in her bathroom mirror have been less demanding than usual. But Edith’s world is turned upside down when her brother goes missing and a mysterious new lead promises to reveal clues of his whereabouts. Edith’s journey begins with a visit to a remote Scottish island in the hope a gifted clairvoyant can provide some much-needed answers.

Synopsis

Following electronics teacher and father Cam Cameron as he attempts to survive 60 days on Rockall, the UK’s most remote and dangerous island. Driven by a need to reconnect with his family, Cam’s quest is a test of endurance and a deeply personal challenge. Having already lost his father and two brothers, Cam is his mother’s only surviving son - a burden that weighs on him as he prepares to break the world record. Only five people in history have spent more than one night on Rockall - a statistic lower than those who’ve been to the moon. Facing brutal conditions and isolation, Cam’s journey raises questions: What drives a man to risk his life? And what toll does it take on those who love him? The documentary explores the true meaning of adventure and the sacrifices made in the pursuit of legacy, keeping viewers on edge of their seats.

Synopsis

An immersive 360 experience created by Human Studio interpreting three scenes from an original short story by Nick Bax. The Neon Pack is a Protopian Tale which takes place in a very near future where XR technology is seamlessly fused into our everyday lives, enhancing even the most mundane of activities. The project was commissioned by Hope Works and match-funded by XR Stories (University of York) and attempts to provoke thought and discussion regarding the development and proliferation of XR technology and content. To date, ‘The Neon Pack’ has been exhibited at Sónar+D (Barcelona, 2023), the Immersive Futures Lab, SXSW, (Austin, Texas, 2023) and BEYOND, Cardiff City Hall (2022). An augmented reality iteration of the project was also displayed in Sheffield city centre until 2025 as part of the ‘Look Up’ AR artworks project. The Neon Pack features original soundtrack by 96 Back on CPU Records.
