LET’S DANCE AGAIN is a short film which revolves around William, an Alzheimer’s patient, and Esme, his carer. It occurs over one day - the day they first meet. William is a very charming, caring and funny character, but due to his Alzheimer’s, he can become very anxious. When he has an anxiety attack, William becomes the complete opposite person, he becomes lost in his own home and doesn’t recognise anyone, even family.
Esme is new to caring and due to being William’s niece she wants to care for him as best she can. But due to her naivety she doesn’t always do the best for William and sometimes makes situations worse. Esme learns that William isn’t as capable as she thought and creates a bond with him when they discuss his past in his jazz band.
When the pair talk about William’s musical past, he becomes his usual self, and they bond more than ever. Esme decides that playing jazz music will increase William’s memory of his past and they end up dancing together, having a nice time and agree they need each other.
