Synopsis

Through interviews with his closest friends and family, some of the most influential celebrities of the fashion and pop world, and Galliano himself, the documentary seeks to build a portrait of the man behind the fashion genius, and his journey for redemption.

Synopsis

TELL THEM YOU LOVE ME explores the extraordinary story of Anna Stubblefield, an esteemed university professor who becomes embroiled in a controversial affair with Derrick Johnson, a non-verbal man with cerebral palsy. Anna says she unlocked Derrick's mind from his body by teaching him to communicate using a keyboard. The relationship that followed would lead to a criminal trial that would challenge our perceptions of disability and the nature of consent. Through exclusive footage and interviews with those on both sides of the case, this feature documentary weaves a riveting and endlessly nuanced story about communication, race, and sex.

Synopsis

After the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran, a boy grew up obsessed with all the movies he couldn't see. He met a mysterious film collector who saved thousands of films from destruction by the new regime. Despite arrest and torture, the collector refused to give up his secret hoard. Together they forged a friendship based on passion for cinema and resistance against tyranny. The boy escaped to exile in London to become a filmmaker, and tells their shared story of obsession and celluloid dreams.

In Alexandra, South Africa, where two thirds of the women are survivors of abuse, a group of mothers are on a mission to change the fate of their neighbourhood, right from the beginning.
Through a series of intimate, and at times uncomfortable, conversations, 1001 DAYS takes the audience on a journey. Through the chaotic and narrow streets of Alexandra, we follow the fearless and charismatic health-workers Zanele, Thandiwe and Khosi. They are three mothers from the heart of the community, who doggedly support hundreds of new mothers, during some of their happiest–and lowest–moments. Their aim: to help new mothers during the first 1001 days of their babies' lives, which are the most critical in any human’s life.

Synopsis

Calum Storrie is an artist, writer and designer. He has designed exhibitions for, among others, the Royal Academy, Wellcome Collection and the Museum of London (most recently ‘London Calling’). His book the 'Delirious Museum' is published by Bloomsbury.
This documentary captures Storrie making art, collaborating with musicians and artists of different creative disciplines, from soundscapes, music scores, painting and walking the city. Filmed over six months in and around Hackney London, with a visit to Dundee, Scotland in the middle.
