An escaped prisoner flees into the Icelandic countryside. After their friends mysteriously vanish, they are pulled into a space where time and nature move differently. A modern take on Icelandic folklore of the hidden people, featuring motion captured circus artists and realtime animation. An imaginative, art-meets-science cinematic experience that brings audiences face-to-face with insects as miniature giants on our planet. Combining 3D scans of real insects and immersive storytelling, the 3D environments presents insects as the new dinosaurs, scaled up to T-Rex proportions—revealing their beauty, complexity and ecological importance in a way never seen before. Developed by Visioning Lab, GIANT INSECT WORLD bridges art, science and technology to offer a new public understanding of the natural world. It forms the core narrative for a touring exhibition that integrates 3D-scanned insect models, interactive projection and virtual-reality encounters. The work celebrates biodiversity and inspires curiosity about the fragile ecosystems that sustain life on Earth.

Synopsis

An interactive project and AR tour of archive relating to the town of Folkestone’s first chalk hill figure, the legendary Folkestone Elephant. Revealing ancient artefacts, folk costumes, rare archive film, and Augmented Reality magick. The AR app guides visitors on a walk through the beautiful local countryside neat Folkestone. Using geo-located video clips and sound, the expedition takes them from Newington to Summerhouse Hill, for a chance to summon the elephant.

An interactive stationary VR experience that invites quiet reflection on nature, slowness, and change. It offers a moment to sit, observe, and influence the atmosphere in a peaceful, dreamlike virtual world. The experience places the audience on a hilltop, looking across at a lone tree gently swaying in the breeze on another hill. The audience can move their hands gently to influence the wind. The seasons cycle over the course of ten minutes, the visual and audio aesthetics shifting with the changes. The piece emerged from thinking about how nature changes quietly around us, often unnoticed. We invite the audience to consider how small gestures and moments connect us to the world’s larger cycles, and how ephemeral and fragile those cycles are.

An interactive single screen video installation - Visitors move around the floorplan of a Taiwanese house. As you step into a room, the video projection switches to show that room. As you explore the house, you discover the history of a couple who lived there. They have returned to their deserted home to tidy up the secrets they hold from each other. The work is both a closed loop and a story that unfolds progressively. The order in which you explore the rooms opens up different interpretations. Synopsis

Constantinopoliad is an expanded documentary and installation that centers around the collective reading of a hand-made book. A response to the archive of the poet Constantine Cavafy, the story is inspired by the blank and torn out pages in “Constantinopoliad, an epic”, the journal the teenage Cavafy began when he and his family fled Alexandria; by lost and missing queer archives through time; and by the ghosts, both erotic and historical, that visit the older Cavafy in his poems.
