STREETS OF CHANGE VR is a powerful virtual reality experience that brings to light the often-overlooked realities of street homelessness, challenging the stigma and stereotypes through storytelling. Rooted in real lived experiences, the film humanises rough sleepers through three intimate character stories, revealing their resilience and the harsh truths of life on the streets. Through hyper-realism, spoken word poetry, and immersive storytelling, STREETS OF CHANGE VR explores a narrative of poverty, addiction, and mental health with honesty and emotional depth. By placing viewers in the shoes of those experiencing homelessness, STREETS OF CHANGE VR aims to foster empathy, break down prejudice, and invites urgent conversations about inequality. STREETS OF CHANGE VR is a call to action amid a growing global homelessness crisis.

An intimate VR experience that explores ’dis-ease’ within the body, through the lived experience of patients with breast cancer. Meticulously crafted and developed in close collaboration with a team of scientists and researchers, this interactive experience tells the stories of patients’ healthcare struggles, with focus on breast cancer treatment. Audiences are led through a visual and sonic world that interweaves excerpts from survivors’ stories. It aims to invoke a more nuanced and holistic understanding of this sensitive topic. This project, narrated by Tilda Swinton, playfully explores what it means to live with ADHD - employing Mixed Reality to capture the visual cacophony of our thoughts and what it means to be neurodivergent. Through captivating gameplay, this Mixed Reality piece follows four outsider characters whose rollercoaster of emotions leads them to a life on the edge. As the characters explore their thought patterns, users can uncover their own to reach a state of empathy and understanding. Every machine offers you the chance to enter the world of the game and choose your own unique journey. As you guide your avatar through a world ravaged by endless war, there are many routes you can take and there are many different outcomes. You can choose a side, win or lose the war, search out a more peaceful route, or join a cult promising a better version of reality. Where will your decisions lead you? Using the nostalgic 8-bit aesthetic of 1980s video games, ARCADE’s interactive narrative explores the evolving relationship between players and avatars. This choose-your-own-path experience will fully immerse players in alternate environments in a completely dark shipping container, using 360 degree binaural sound and sensory effects.
