Dustin, a disheartened barber, discovers a bizarre and troubling secret: the city’s beloved politician, Reuben Stanton, is slowly turning into a donkey.
Each visit reveals more signs - elongated ears, coarse hair and strange braying noises. Dustin is rightly horrified, but when he tries to speak out, no one believes him. Each attempt Dustin makes only confirms how adored Reuben is by his constituents who see him as a symbol of hope and progress.
As Dustin becomes increasingly obsessed with revealing the truth, he’s met with ridicule, suspicion, and isolation. The more he insists, the more unstable he appears - even to himself.
Caught between reality and delusion, Dustin must decide whether to keep fighting for the truth or let the world remain blissfully blind.
A surreal, off-beat short exploring power, perception, and the cost of seeing what others refuse to.
